Specialty Entry and Exit
1. Specialty Entry’s Requirements
Students with majors in electronic information science and technology, microelectronics science, communication engineering and integrated circuit design must have sound foundations in computer science, physics, math and English. These four majors have the same standards for the admission courses. The numbers of students admitted shall be based on the current year’s discipline distributions and the documents concerning specialty admissions.
Students are usually admitted in their first or second year. There are eight entry courses. At the end of the second semester, students from other departments or colleges who apply for admission will have received 6 credits from the entry courses. At the end of the fourth semester, they must have received at least 15 credits from these entry courses. In addition, students applying for admission are required to pass relevant written tests and interviews. All matters concerning changing majors are handled in accordance with the university’s uniform arrangements.
