Stroboscopic Interferometric Imaging of Ultrasonic Surface and Guided Waves for the Detection of Defects

Abstract: Ultrasound is a well-established and versatile technique for non-destructive testing of materials. In this presentation, it will be shown how ultrasonic waves (transient and harmonic) can be detected using a range of full-field imaging techniques with fast inspection of the examined material. Since inspection time is a crucial factor in many NDT applications, the presented setups have an important industrial relevance.
