报告题目:碳基薄膜晶体管的界面工程研究

摘要:
In this talk, we report on our efforts intending to understand growth of high quality thin films of organic semiconductor and process of high quality graphene devices via interface engineering with self-assembled monolayers. We first focus on initial growth of metallophthalocyanine and rubrene thin films. Afterwards we extend the interface engineering strategy to graphene transistors. High performance organic thin film and graphene transistors are fabricated with record-high carrier mobilities.

简介:
Dr. Xu received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Nanjing University in 1983 and 1986, respectively, in physics and information physics. From 1988 to 1993, he was highly privileged to study in the University of Konstanz, Germany. His doctoral dissertation was focused on the near-field sensing and nanoscopic energy transfer and heat transport associated with electronic processes. After having earned his doctorate, Dr. Xu joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. There he has been Professor since the midst of 2002.
Dr. Xu has published extensively on advanced electronic and photonic materials and devices as well as on nanotechnology in peer-reviewed professional journals (>200). Also he actively participates in a myriad of professional activities and has served as symposium chair in several international conferences. He is Senior Member of IEEE, the Secretary and Council Member of Hong Kong Materials Research Society, and the Vice President and Council Member of Hong Kong Institution of Science, Member of APS, MRS, and Physical Society of Hong Kong.
